Another fun outdoor, hands-on project was on our schedule on Sunday 10th of November when Henderson Rotary’s members teamed up with others from Hillsborough-Lynfield-Mt Roskill Rotary, our satellite club Rotalite West, a visiting Rotarian from Bay of Islands Rotary, a couple of Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2024 participants and a heap of parents from Mt Albert Playcentre.
The project involved a garden makeover at Mt Albert Playcentre where their gardens had become quite overgrown with weeds and paths quite slippery. Our team did a great job weeding, waterblasting and trimming things back in to order. The Playcentre can now carry on the work in bringing their beautiful Playcentre gardens back to life with new flowers and other plants. We filled up an entire skip bin of green waste!
