Henderson Rotary partnered with the Well Foundation in 2015 to raise funds for a new mobile health clinic by running Lunch With The Prime Minister at Lincoln Green where 200 guests enjoyed hearing from John Key and participated in a charity auction. As a result Henderson Rotary was able to donate $14,500.00 to the Well Foundation to be used for funding the new mobile health clinic they’ve been raising funds for.
Two other Rotary clubs – East Coast Bays and Warkworth also donated substantial sums of money to the project.
The new clinic was officially launched on the 27th of October 2016 at a ceremony at Lincoln Green in Henderson. This new clinic will enable Waitemata DHB public health nurses to reach more vulnerable children and families in the Waitemata district to provide healthcare like ear check-ups, throat swabbing as part of the Rheumatic Fever Prevention Programme, general health advice, treatment and referrals when required.
